When the holy land is at stake, war is inevitable. Although I’m sure some, if not a majority of people would disagree with me, I feel that Israel should not end its attack on the Gaza strip. If the attacks continue, unfortunately the United States may be looked upon for assistance, but we have to deny monetary and military assistance. If Israel was to immediately cease attacks on Gaza, the Hamas government may cause extreme destruction over the quest for their Promised Land. If Israel ended its attack on Gaza, negative implications would result for that part of the world. For the United States, we will be fine so long as we stay out of foreign affairs and repair our economy before we intervene abroad.
The Hamas government is extremely radical and dangerous. Their supply of weaponry is aided by countries such as Iran and Egypt, places where nuclear developments are a concern. Israeli officials claim to be acting in Gaza in order to defend themselves and their land against rocket fire attacks from the Hamas Government. Europe may do whatever they please to cease fire in Gaza, but we should not engage ourselves in Middle-Eastern and European affairs, at least until we settle our own domestic problems. The United States has always seemed to be looked upon as the big brother who will protect any country with good intentions, but with our economy in shambles we literally cannot afford to act on Israel’s behalf. We need to practice a policy of Isolation, otherwise we will be in even more of an economic mess. US dollars should not be used to meddle in problems overseas, especially problems that we do not have the means to sustain.
